I could only pick a few pictures to post on xanga. My computer is old and full and it is time consuming. So I hope you enjoy the ones I could put on here. Enjoy!

    Jared's wedding in New Orleans

We had the best weekend in New Orleans. We got to see Jimbo and Audrea and their "new to them" house. Tripp is visiting at his other Grnadmother's house, so we missed the little man! We enjoyed Jared and Laura's most beautiful and sweet wedding. We stayed in one of my favorite hotels in the quarters and ate some of the most fabulous food. We enjoyed a wonderful service at Jimbo's church.

This is outside in the courtyard of our hotel.

Most of the Bowlin crew remember Jared coming up to the lake.

    Jareds wedding 040

I just had to get a big ole hug from Jared. He is family to us.

    Jareds wedding 039

Those who knew and loved Jared's Dad knew how much he loved to boil crawfish. He was well known for his crawfish boils. They do a crawfish boil in his honor every year at the church he attended. This grooms cake is made in the likeness of a big ole pot of crawfish boiling! It was awesome.

Well, I got my first tomato off of the vine today! Jim and I cut it, sliced it, salted it and ate it! Yum Yum!!! My fear is that the rest of them will ripen while I am in Arkansas at the lake. I guess my friend that comes and waters them for me will reap the benifits of helping out!

I hope everyone has a good week. I know we have many people on our prayer list as we speak. I am lifting up prayers for many. I am grateful for our little xanga family and all of the prayer warriors out there! Menga2u put it well in her post.

  • Still in Arkansas!

Shanna's surgery went okay, no complications. She is trying to do too much, but doesn't listen to her mother!!! I have been very very busy and probably won't get to catch up until i get home. I have glanced through and read the titles! Jeremy (my son in law) graduates from UCA Saturday, so I will leave Sunday morning after having graduation on Saturday.
I do have some pictures to post, but that will have to wait! Take care !

About Me

  • I am a semi-retired decorator, working just enough to support my habits........shopping and travel! I am working less and less. I really want to be available to go and do when I want to or need to for my children or grandchildren. I enjoy camping, fishing , swimming, the beach, the lake....anything to do with water and trees. I do stained glass and handpainted tile and paint and draw when I have the opportunity. I like making silk arrangements and like working in my yard. I love music and reading and the outdoors. I recently bought a used violin so I can relearn to play! I love gathering with freinds and family. I enjoy traveling with my husband of 29 years. God and my family and my friends are what matter to me the most.
